More details of the teaspoon. Hallmarks, fossil prints, the back of the spoon part showing the hammer marks I kept and how I attached the stem. And the vintage glass measuring cup I used to get an actual metric teaspoon #teaspoon #silverspoon #hallmarks #wrought #madewithlove

Previous PostA very special teaspoon I had the pleasure of handcrafting for a collector! I was delighted to have been given full artistic licence within the specifications that makes a teaspoon a teaspoon. The collector also requested my hallmarks on the stem. This piece is officially the my first piece off the bench stamped with the 2017 date stamp! I thought this would be a special treat to someone who appreciates hallmarks! The spoon takes 1 metric teaspoon:) I based the design on the same theme as the EDGE2 exhibition “isthmus” representing the geological formation, sedimentary deposits and shaping of Bruny Islands Isthmus, Tasmania which is also my home. I imprinted areas with local fossils and the beaten areas represent the weather beaten rugged landscape. Definitely one of my new favourite pieces! I thoroughly enjoyed creating this!! #teaspoon #sterlingsilver #handforged #wrought #brunyisland #tasmania #silverspoon #madeintasmania @laurenharrisjewellery #metric #handcraftedNext PostBeautiful sturdy links in the making! #chainlinks #joininglinks #silverlinks #annealing #jewellerymaking @laurenharrisjewellery #handcrafted
